Sometimes you want to try something new, to do something you have never done before. So, my wife, daughter, and I wanted to try scuba diving at a coral reef during our vacation on one of the Indonesian islands – Nusa Lembongan. Scuba diving is fascinating, but far from safe, so we approached the selection of a dive club with all seriousness. We found information on the internet, asked the locals, and found a dive club with excellent reviews. I can say right away—the reviews did not disappoint. Despite the fact that we immediately explained that we knew nothing about scuba diving, did not aim to get a PADI diploma, and just wanted to dive and see the coral reef, they welcomed us with pleasure, assigned a personal instructor who trained us, provided diving equipment, and even fed us! I would like to thank the owner of the club, who spent a lot of time with us despite the fact that the club had already closed when we arrived. I would like to thank our instructor, Guillaume, who diligently trained us and then carefully watched over us during our dives to the reef. I would also like to specially thank Amanda who personally watched over my beloved daughter during our dives, for which I am incredibly grateful. I do not mean to offend other dive clubs on the island, which are surely also very good, but if you ask me which dive club I can recommend, I will answer without hesitation—this one.

My friend and I went on the ‘Discover Scuba Diving’ trip which consisted of a dive in the pool to go through the equipment and safety signals and to ensure you are comfortable under the water. We then went on 2 dives in the open water. It was such an incredible experience, made even more special by the fact we were swimming with multiple manta rays on the second dive. The staff at Legend Diving could not have been more helpful and professional, in particular our diving instructor, Nick. He made us feel completely safe and ensured we were completely comfortable under the water before proceeding with the dive. Also, his knowledge of the marine life was incredible and went through a lot of the fish and coral that we saw with us after the dive. If you are unsure about whether scuba diving is for you or if you are thinking of the PADI course, I would highly recommend doing the ‘Discover Scuba Diving’ at Legend Diving first. We had the incredible opportunity to experience the PADI Discover Scuba Diving (DSD®) program—an unforgettable introduction to scuba diving. On February 18, 2025, we did this adventure with Rita, and it turned out to be the best experience ever! From the very beginning, she explained the basic concepts of scuba diving with clarity. During our practical training in the pool, her patience and dedication stood out—she answered every question, no matter how many times we asked, ensuring we fully understood each step. She wouldn’t move forward until we had mastered every task, making us feel completely at ease and confident before the actual dive. Once underwater, Rita guided us through the descent and ascent with such precision that we experienced no ear pain at all.
