The Depths Are Calling

PADI Deep Diver Komodo Course

Many divers ask, “How deep have you gone?”—and for good reason. There’s something uniquely thrilling about exploring deeper waters. Whether it’s accessing deeper wrecks, encountering marine life that prefers the depths, or chasing the challenge itself, deep diving opens a whole new world of adventure.

With the PADI Deep Diver Komodo course, you’ll gain the skills, confidence, and knowledge to safely dive down to 40 meters/130 feet. You’ll learn essential deep-dive gas management, problem-solving techniques at depth, and the use of additional procedures and equipment required for safe deep diving.

This exciting program takes just 1.5 days to complete. Once certified, you’ll be qualified to explore depths of up to 40 meters at dive centers worldwide—unlocking a whole new level of underwater exploration.

Inside your Training

PADI Deep Diver Komodo Course Overview

Your PADI Instructor will begin by reviewing your completed self-study materials and online forms. From there, your PADI Deep Diver Komodo training continues with four deep dives conducted over two days. These dives take place at some of Komodo’s most iconic sites—carefully selected according to sea conditions to ensure the best and safest experience.

If you’re visiting between December and March, keep an eye out for the incredible Oceanic Manta Ray, which often appears during the rainy season.
In addition to standard scuba gear, we recommend bringing a slate and a dive light for deep environment communication and notes. Komodo’s waters can be chilly at depth, so a nice hood is suggested. All additional equipment is available for rent at our dive center, ensuring you have everything you need for a smooth and enjoyable deep-diving experience.
